CECILIA (SALLY) BJORNSON (nee PINDERA) February 14, 1910 - May 18, 2003 It is with deep sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of our dearly beloved grandmother, Cecilia (Sally) Bjornson on May 18, 2003 at age 93. Cecilia was born in Warsaw, Poland on February 14, 1910. She immigrated to Winnipeg as a young teenager. She married Gardar Bjornson on March 24, 1928. They had five children, Thor (Sonny), Muriel (Zlotnick), Phyllis (Keskinen), Johnny and Marvin. She was predeceased by her husband, children and grandson Carl. She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory, her two daughters-in-law, Frances and Blanche; son-in-law Arvo; her grandchildren, Joan (Brian) and Donald (Cheryl), Debbie (Brian), David, Linda, Elizabeth (Roderick) and Muriel (Michael), Eileen (David), Connie (Paul), Kim (Robert), and Michelle (John), Blair (Colleen) and Todd (Kim) and her 28 great-grandchildren. Cecilia lived her life to the fullest through hard work as a seamstress, with determination and a strong will. She will be remembered by her love of nature and animals. She loved the many trips that she had taken throughout her life. We have beautiful memories that will keep Cecilia (Sally) alive in our hearts and the family asks that you help them to celebrate her life. The family would like to thank the staff at Tuxedo Extendicare for the care, attention and patience they gave to our Grandmother during her stay. We would also like to thank Dr. Patrick Cho and the nurses at the Grace Hospital for all their help. Grandma we love you and well miss you and youll always be in our hearts! Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A private family viewing will be held from 2:00 - 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow.
