ABRAHAM (ABE F.) LOEPPKY On Monday, May 19, 2003, at the DeSallaberry District Health Centre in St. Pierre, MB, Abe F. Loeppky, beloved husband of Betty of Niverville, passed away at the age of 81 years. Besides his wife and soulmate of 57 years, Elizabeth (Betty) (nee Kroeker) he is survived by a son William Lloyd of Nanaimo, BC; a daughter Shirley Darlene; granddaughter Catherine Pate; and great-granddaughter Callaway Stephanson-Pate, of Winnipeg; son-in-law Mike Motoska of Winnipeg; two sisters, Katherina (Jacob, deceased) Peters of Steinbach, and Helen (John, deceased) Hiebert of Regina; as well as two sisters-in-law, Margaret Loeppky and Erma Loeppky both of Niverville, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Jacob D. and Katherina (Friesen) Loeppky; three brothers, Jacob, Peter and John (Mary). Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2:00 p.m. at the Chortitzer Mennonite Church in Niverville with Pastor Jake Doerksen officiating. Interment will follow in the Hespellar Cemetery at Niverville. Friends may pay their last respects on Thursday, May 22, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, and at the church one hour before the service.
