Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROMEO PHANEUF April 19, 1927 - May 20, 2003 It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, brother, and grand-father (Papa) on May 20, 2003 at the age of 76 at St. Boniface Hospital. Romeo was predeceased by his loving wife Aurise Phaneuf on December 31, 2002. Dad will be greatly missed by his three daughters, Doreen Chale (Paul), Jackie Phaneuf (Willy Fraser), and Karen Pilloud (Greg). He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Kelly, Jayson, Jordyn, Brennan, Delaney, and Hayden. Romeo is survived by his sisters, Irma Nolin, Lucienne Dumaine of Winnipeg, as well as Lina and Donat Sabot of St. Anne, MB. He also leaves to mourn numerous nieces and nephews. Romeo was born in Richer, MB on April 19, 1927 and was employed by Supercrete/Lafarge Canada until his retirement in 1989. Romeo enjoyed many years of enjoyment at the Oasis Beach and Campground where he made numerous genuine friends. The family wishes to express our thanks to the nursing staff at St. Boniface Hospital 7th floor South, and also to Dr. Richard Silverman. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Romeo will be held in the Chapel of Voyage Funeral Home on Friday, May 23 at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
