WILLIAM (BILL) ZELISKO Bill passed away suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, May 20, 2003. Dad was born March 15, 1915 on the home farm in Homer. He met and married Mom in 1951 and together they worked on the farm and it was there they raised two children. He worked as a sawyer for many years. He also worked for many years in the bush cutting pulp. In 1982 Dad and Mom sold the farm and bought a house in Arborg. In 1984 Dad had triple by-pass heart surgery. They spent many years going fishing to Fairford and enjoying retirement. Dad loved to keep busy. He loved to trap in the winter time and enjoyed gardening through the summer months. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He loved to give of his time to help his family and friends. Bill is survived by his wife Mae of 51 years; children, Margaret (Doug) and Marcel (Terry) five grandchildren, Shawn (Judy), David (Aaron), Trevor (Angela), Donna and Derek; six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Matthew, Julie, Katlyn, Alyssa, Kaleigh; brother John (Pat) of Osoyoos, BC; sisters Alice of Arborg, Nettie (Ken) of Vancouver, BC, Anne (Charles) of Ottawa, ON; numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Nick, Fred and three brothers in Germany; sisters, Pauline, Lucy and Rosy; sister-in-law Viola Zelisko; brothers-in-law, Frank Romaniuk and John Zelenitsky. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church, Arborg, MB. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to a charity of ones choice or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
