ROSE MARIE ERSTELLE (nee TOUROND) Rose passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 85. Rose leaves to cherish her memory, husband Elie, daughter Sandy Anderson, granddaughter Kim and husband Tom Villeneauve. She also will be remembered by her daughter Bernice (Isaac) Messinger, son-in-law Hubert, grandchildren, Marion (Lyle), Darin (Collette), her great-grandchildren, Hannah-Rose, Jacob, Elizabeth and Tristen, her granddaughters, Mona and family and Deliah and family. Rose mourned the loss of her two daughters, Gladys Ramon Keip on January 7, 2000 and Lily Mabel Newburg on May 5, 2001. Rose will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews and their children. She will be especially missed by her dearest friend and confidante Sister Epiphany. We want to express our special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Health Sciences Centre, MICU on the 7th floor for the care and compassion offered to Rose and her family. Rose was born July 22, 1917 in Sandilands, MB, the youngest of a large family. Rose was a wonderful story teller and loved to relate stories of her childhood. She often spoke of growing up, of her father and mother, her brothers and sisters and their home in the country. Rose was a creative woman, crocheting, knitting and sewing. She always had one or two projects on the go and a dozen stored in her head. Rose loved her pets and remembered and cherished the memories and joy that Prince, Tiny, Dusty, Shadow and Chie Mein brought her. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 27 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. 1 East at Navin Road. Urn placement will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
