PEARL JOYCE PARKER Surrounded by her family Pearl (Margaret) Parker, nee Kennedy passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at Riverview Health Center in Winnipeg, MB. She succumbed to her long time battle with Alzheimers disease. Pearl was born on April 21, 1931 to Joe and Laura Kennedy, Foster daughter to the late Florence and Earl Shewfelt. She was married January 18, 1952 for 30 years to the late Clarence Ivan Parker. Left to cherish her memory her son Earl, grandchildren Garret and Dusty; daughter Joyce Howell and son-in-law Einar, grandchildren, Jennifer and James; son Ken, daughter-in-law Sherry, grandchildren, David and Brian; daughter Rachel and son-in-law Dave Bays, great grandchildren, Devon and Dane; son Robert and daughter-in-law Shelley, grandchild Jessica; son Tom and fiance Kristen Bazylo, grandchildren, Tristan and Brennan; son Raymond McLean; daughter Beverly Fleming; brother Tom Kennedy, sister-in-law Alice; brother John Kennedy and girlfriend Linda Cran; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Pearl worked at the Barclay House for many years. She also did senior support program in Darlingford, Crystal City, and ECT Pearl resided in LaRiviere for over 30 years before moving to Winnipeg for health problems. Mom occupied a large place in our hearts that is filled with love. We are so blessed to have had such a wonderful mom. We will miss you more than you can imagine and life will never be the same without you. Grandma we love you and we will miss you, you will always be in our hearts. Viewing will be held at Doyles Funeral Chapel in Morden, Mb on Monday, May 26 at 10:00 a.m. with funeral service in the LaRiviere United Church, LaRiviere on Monday, May 26 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Laurie Simpson officiating. Burial to follow at Jackson Cemetery, Mowbray, MB. Pallbearers will be her sons, Earl, Ken, Robert, Tom and her brothers, Tom and John. Honorary pallbearers will be all who attend. The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Staff from wing B1 at Riverview Health Center for all their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society at 205 Edmonton St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1R4 or to a charity of ones choice. Doyles Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
