JAMES ANDREW SCOTT After a short and courageous battle with cancer, James, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2003 at the Bethesda Hospital, with his family at his side. Jim was predeceased by his mother Annie Scott; mother and father-in-law, Jerome and Marion Carrette; brothers-in-law, Allan Carrette and Dan Carriere. He will be missed by his friend, love and wife Maureen of 34 years; his children, Jennifer (Marcel) Geverink, James (Christine) Scott, Sheri (Lou) Scott, Sean Scott; grandchildren, Hailey, Lindsay and Madison Scott, and Aden Laramee; his father James Scott Sr; Donald (Cecile) Scott, Jean (Edwin) Biberdorf, Alastair (Muriel) Scott, Helen (Wayne) Tully, Angus (Ethel) Scott, Robert (Rita) Carrette, Doreen Carriere, Bonnie Carrette, Gary (Laurette) Carrette and special sister-in-law Yvonne Carrette and Aunty Betty Carrette; numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was born in 1942 in Inverness, Scotland. He immigrated to Canada in 1957 with his family. Jim was a good-hearted and kind man, who always had time to lend a helping hand or stop and chat. Jim and Maureen farmed in Dufresne for 30 years, where they operated Jamasdale Farm Inc. with their children. James love was his family and his dairy. He will be missed. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 26, 11:00 a.m. at Royal Canadian Legion Laverendrye Branch No. 220, 80 Arena Rd., Ste. Anne, MB. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, Room ON109 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
