ALEXANDER (SANDY) WILLIAM SELKIRK Peacefully, on Saturday, May 24, 2003 with his family at his side, Sandy passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Sandy will be sadly missed by his wife of 22 years, Margaret; two daughters, Beverly (Philip) and Cindy (Neal) two sons, Randy (Suzanne) and Glenn (Wendy) seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dad had many strengths and a passion for life. He loved his family, visits with his friends and also enjoyed hunting. The month of May brought many causes for celebrations for Dad, but most of all it is then he got to do the thing he loved the most, fishing. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 29 at 2:00 p.m. in the Riverton Fellowship Circle, with Pastor Neill von Gunten officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverton Community Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Chapnik and staff at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, home care staff, friends and family for their support throughout Sandys illness. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandys memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Heart and Stroke Fund. Gilbart Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
