GRENVILLE CRATE March 24, 1943 - May 25, 2003 Peacefully on May 25, 2003 at 8:35 p.m. with his family by his side, Grenville Crate of the Fisher River Cree Nation, passed on at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 60 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Dorothy; his children, Cynthia (Randy), Shelby, Grenville Clayton and Amy; his grandson Ashton; he also leaves his sisters, Dorothy (Lawrence) Settee, Jean (Bryden) Cochrane, Lavina (Ray) Thiessen, Madeline (William) Thomas, Gloria (Barry) Cook and Janet Crate (Henry) his brothers, Michael (Isabel) Crate and Robert Crate; also left to remember him are his brother-in-law Leslie James (Harriet). Grenville is also remembered and mourned by the Bee family, Snowbird family, James family, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Grenville was predeceased by his mother Janet Victoria Crate; his father Michael Crate Sr.; his infant son Timothy; his sister and brother-in-law, Annie and Carl Hourie. Dad loved music, feasting and lending a helping hand whenever he could. His humour, laughter and caring generosity will always be in our hearts and memories. He will be missed by all those who knew him. A wake service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Stevens Memorial United Church, Fisher River, MB, with Rev.
