GEORGINA DRIVER (nee SAWYER) July 6, 1922 - May 23, 2003 Georgina Driver passed away on Friday, May 23, 2003 at the Victoria General Hospital. Georgina was pre-deceased by her father Edward Sawyer in 1944 and her mother Elizabeth Sawyer (nee Schmidt) in 1975. Georgina is survived by her husband of 37 years Ernest Driver; brothers, Albert Sawyer, David (Judy) Sawyer of Winnipeg, Donald (Mary) Sawyer of Creston, BC; sister Grace (Dean) Hubbard of Idaho; her sons, Beau of Sundre, AB, Karl (Tara) grandson Sean of London, ON; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Alicia, Steven, Tristan, Kyonna as well as many nieces and nephews. Georgina was born in Winnipeg on July 6, 1922. She was raised in the Salvation Army Citadel on Rupert St. She was married in Crescent Fort Rouge United Church. She worked in the health care field for several years and was a very special caring person. The family would like to thank the staff of unit three at the Victoria Hospital, as well as the many friends who showed support. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29 at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with interment and reception to follow.
