JOSEPH ENCONTRE Peacefully at the Notre Dame Hospital on Sunday, May 25, 2003, Mr. Joseph Encontre of Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB passed away at the age of 71 years. He leaves to mourn his passing three sisters, Augustine Encontre of Notre Dame, Berthe Baron of Langley, BC, Blandine (Carlo) DAngiolo of Winnipeg; three brothers, Marcel Encontre and Martial Encontre both of Notre Dame and Francois (Gertrude) Encontre of St. Pierre; two brothers-in-law, Medard Rossier and Gianni Favaro; one sister-in-law Mary Rousset; and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by five sisters, Genevieve, Gertrude, Jeannette, Lea and Anna; and by three brothers, Cyprien, Jean-Baptiste and Bart. Prayers will be held at Adams Funeral Home on Thursday, May 29, at 8:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Friday, May 30, at 2:00 p.m., preceded by Recitation of the Rosary at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
