Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKAZIMIERZ KACZMAR 1914 - 2003 Kazimierz passed away peacefully after a brief illness with his family at his side on Sunday, May 25, 2003 at the age of 89. He was born in Poland on February 21, 1914. After serving in the military during the Second World War, he came to Canada in 1951. Kazimierz settled in Transcona where he built his first home. He was employed with Canadian National Railways until he retired. He was always very involved in the Transcona community. Kazimierz was a very caring person. In his younger days he loved music and dancing, the tango being his favourite dance. He was also known for his storytelling. Always the handyman, he enjoyed working around the house and garden. In recent years although his health started to fail him, he never lost his sense of cheerfulness. Among numerous friends and family mourning his loss is Mrs. Kazimiera Machniak. Our family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of the Kildonan Personal Care Centre where he received such wonderful and loving care until the end. Prayers will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Tuesday, May 27 at 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers for the service will be Kaz Machniak, Jim Smithson, Chad Brisson, Michelle Skawinski and Janina Skawinski. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 28 at 10:30 a.m at Holy Ghost Parish, Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
