DON MILES 1924 - 2003 Peacefully on May 26, 2003, Don Miles passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 79. Don was predeceased by his sisters, Ivy Baker and Beattie Fowler; and one brother Les Miles. Left to mourn Dons passing is his loving wife of 53 years, Pat. Don will be lovingly remembered by his three children, Bob (Susan), Glen (Granda), and Kristen. One daughter-in-law Stephanie. Four grandsons, Jeremy (Karen), Nicholas, Michael, and Troy. Two great-granddaughters, Brynne and Caelan. Don will also be missed by numerous extended family and friends. Don was raised in Morse Place and lived in Winnipeg all his life. He worked at Baker & Sons as a printer for 40 years. Dons hobbies included golfing, gardening, wine making, listening to music and curling, as well as summers at the cabin at Red Rock. Since his retirement Don and Pat had enjoyed time with their friends at the North Centennial Seniors Group. Don was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Don was especially happy when he had his family around him, and his dog Buddy by his side. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. A private family interment will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6, or to Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
