MICHAEL (MICKEY) PHILLIPPE NEILL May 27, 1951 - May 23, 2003 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear father, son, brother and friend, Michael. Mickey was raised in Winnipeg and attended R.B Russell School where he excelled in welding and received several awards. Mickey enjoyed many years working for Dominion Bridge. With his artist ability, he welded many creative art pieces, which he enjoyed giving to his family and friends. He had an uncanny ability to invent new things and because of one his inventions the company was able to double production, a fact he was very proud of. Mickey was a kind-hearted man and well known for his generosity. He loved to make people laugh. He was a devoted father who made his family a priority. Mickey is survived by his sons, Ryan and Kevin; his father Reginald; his mother Delia; sisters, Louise (Cliff Teichrib), Peggy (Ken Weidman) his brothers, Dennis (Gail), Brian (Hasina) and many nieces and nephews who all have precious memories of him. Mickey was predeceased by his brother, Spencer in 1978. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Berean Baptist Church, 225 Sutton Ave., Winnipeg with Pastor Brooks officiating. Lunch will be served downstairs of the Church immediately following the service. Interment will be at Brookside Cemetery.
