Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIDA KENYON November 9, 1908 - May 24, 2003 Passed away peacefully at Tuxedo Villa Nursing Home at the age of 94 years. Ida was predeceased by her husband Leo Kenyon in 1984; siblings, Sally, Jim, Margaret, Rhoda; and daughter-in-law Ann. Ida is survived by her sons, Lloyd and Larry (Bernice) daughter Marlene (Edward) brother Bert and family; and many other relatives in Ireland. Also surviving are grandchildren, Andrew (Karen), Colleen (Dominique), Charles (Nancy), Brent (Tanya), Heather (Dan) and great-grandchildren, Campbell, Brittany, Alesha, Emily, Naomi and Nicholson. Born in Moneymore, County Derry, Northern Ireland, Ida came with her family to farm in Elm Creek in 1924 and later married Leo Kenyon. Ida and Leo enjoyed travelling to Northern Ireland and to the west coast. Together they farmed in Elm Creek for 40 years. Ida belonged to the Ladies Anglican Guild and participated in many church activities. They retired and settled in Winnipeg. In retirement, Ida and Leo took great pride in their home, garden and enjoyed visits from their children and grandchildren. As a widow, Ida became very independent and continued with her love of gardening and family. The family wishes to thank the staff at Grace Hospital and Tuxedo Villa for the care and compassion of the last months. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 30 at 11:00 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Interment is in St. Vital Cemetery. THOMSON Funeral Chapels - 669 Broadway - 783-7211
