INA DRYDEN (nee FRASER) Ina was born in Scotland, July 23, 1900 and passed away at Vista Park Lodge, Winnipeg on May 26, 2003. Ina is survived by her three children, Marion (Bert) Brian, Allan (Joyce) and Ken; one brother Jack (Laura) Fraser; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Victor; daughter-in-law Marian; three sisters, Catherine, Jean and Margaret and one brother Jim. Ina arrived in Winnipeg in 1913, married Vic in August 1922, they lived in St. Vital for ten years and Norwood since 1934. Ina has spent the last 12 years at Meadowood Manor and Vista Park Lodge. Ina worked many jobs during her life, Eatons, Public Markets, Dominion Fur Auction and Province of Manitoba Vital Statistics. Ina belonged to the Womens Institute and was a long time member of Norwood United Church, she is also an Honorary member of the U.C.W. During the 1940s, Ina volunteered packing parcels for the Armed Forces during the Second World War and at Baby Well Clinics. Many summers were spent at the family cottage at Victoria Beach. A graveside service will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. on May 29 at 12:00 p.m., with a gathering to honour her life, being held at Norwood United Church, 160 St. Marys Rd. and Tache Avenue at 1:00 p.m. following the service. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to all the staff at Meadowood Manor and Vista Park Lodge, particularly Charlene, for their loving care and kindness given to Mum during her stay.
