LORRAINE CAMPBELL (SCOTT)
Date of Passing: May 27, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORRAINE CAMPBELL (nee SCOTT) Lorraine Elizabeth Campbell, beloved wife of the late Leonard Campbell, passed away peacefully, May 27, 2003 at Calvary Place, Winnipeg. She was the last remaining senior member of both the Campbell and Scott families. Mom loved and lived her entire life in Winnipeg; a woman of simple life and pleasures. Her friendships were treasured and numerous. Nothing pleased Mom more than a "good game of bridge", a game she played often, and enjoyed until her final days. Lorraine is survived by her three children and their spouses, Dave and Pat Campbell, Pat and George Reid, and Bill and Marr Campbell. She was the adored Grandma of Patrick, Craig and Laura Campbell; Scott, Bob and Claire Reid and Susan Giger, and Morgan Campbell and their partners; and a great-Grandma of baby Maxime Giger. Special nieces and nephews, John, Anne, Frank and Claire also mourn their loss. Her feisty spirit will be sadly missed by her many dear friends and family. We extend our gratitude to her wonderfully committed home caregivers who enabled her to maintain a degree of independence at the Waverley and to the staff of the Waverley, the Grace Hospital and of Calvary Place for their kind and loving care of Mom. A celebration of Moms life will be held Monday, June 2, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6, or to a charity of your choice. Dear Lord, put Your arms around her, Hold her in Your tender care. Make up to her for all she suffered, And all she had to bear. She went through so much in silence Her spirit didnt bend She faced her pain with courage Until the very end. It broke our hearts to lose her But she didnt go alone For part of us went with her The day God called her home. Forever loved; may you rest in peace.
