Date of Passing: May 27, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEATRICE MARIE DIDIUK (nee ROYAL) Peacefully, on May 27, 2003, Beatrice Marie Didiuk (nee Royal), passed away at the Maples Personal Care Home. Beatrice was predeceased by her loving husband, Walter on January 21, 2000. Together, Beatrice and Walter were inseparable, lifelong partners for 53 years, and their reuniting brings comfort to the family and friends. Beatrice was also predeceased by all her siblings, Clarisse, Rita, Alice, Blanche, Telespihore and Albert. Beatrice is survived by her sons, Randall (Joanie), Andrew (Betsy) and Ivan (Judy) and her grandchildren, Matthew, Mark, Luke and Erin. Beatrice was born in Chapleau, ON in 1923 and along with her siblings, overcame many challenges and obstacles. Her sense of adventure was keen, and she made her way to Northern British Columbia and the Yukon, as a young woman where she met and married Walter. She enjoyed remembering her adventures in the Wild North. They eventually moved to Winnipeg, Walters hometown, and resided in the North End since 1955. Beatrice was a true North Ender, which combined with her French Canadian heritage, provided her with strong survivor skills. Beatrices lineage is traced back to the mid-1600s in Canada with her ancestors being some of the First Settlers in Canada. Beatrices goal in life was to provide for her family the best way she could. This goal was surpassed. She relished in making home for the family a wonderful sanctuary. The cooking, baking and preserves, will be long remembered. Beatrice had a passion for gardening, crafts, camping in their trailer, and fishing, and a good game of cards around the kitchen table and joking of course. Beatrice and Walter did everything together, and they always had a project on the go. Beatrice was a special woman, mother and partner. She only wished the best for people, and was extremely generous in helping others at any time. She always had a kind word and smile for everyone. The best way to describe Beatrice is a gentle, loving and kind soul, and she will always be remembered fondly by her family and those who knew her. A loss for this world, but great rejoicing in heaven. Her surviving family and friends will always have wonderful and warm memories of Beatrice. A special thank you to all the staff at the Maples Personal Care Home who provided wonderful care and support to Beatrice during her short time there. At Beatrices request, a private family service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
