BETTY LAURA DUCHON (nee KRALL) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother at the age of 94 years on Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at Fred Douglas Lodge. She will be lovingly remembered by her three sons, Ron (Lydia), grandchildren Dino, Kelly, Regan, Landon (Char), Dennis, grandchildren Scott and April, and Len (Barbara), grandchildren Aaron and Michael, great-grandson Keenan. Betty also leaves to mourn her brother Bob Krall (Mickey), sister Gerry Perrott (Lloyd) of Eugene, Oregon, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jack in 1966, parents, John and Anna Krall; sisters, Nance, Mary, Ann, Erna, Dena, Margaret, Doreen and brother Ernie. Betty was born in Gilbert Plains, MB. on November 16, 1908 and she moved to Winnipeg with her family when she was in her teens. Mother spent the majority of her adult life taking care of her family and grandchildren. She loved cooking and baking and when she was younger she enjoyed her flower garden. Mother was devoted to her pets which included several dogs and parakeets over the years. She paid countless hours of attention to her pets teaching all of her birds to talk. Mother could always be counted on for babysitting her grandchildren, whose company she thoroughly enjoyed. The family would like to thank the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for their excellent care and attention they gave to our Mother. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Fred Douglas Lodge or the Alzheimers Society. At Bettys request cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
