HELGA JOHNSON On Saturday, May 31, 2003 Mom passed away peacefully, at home in her sleep. Mom was born on May 3, 1918 in Clarkleigh, MB. She is survived by her loving husband Victor, of 60 years; her four children, Gloria Hayes (Mike) of Claresholm, AB, Terri (Al) Lohse of Winnipeg, Alan Johnson (Eva) of Calgary, AB and Jo-Ann (Allan) Wiebe of Winnipeg. She is also survived by grandsons, Kevin Hansen and Dean (Lisa) Hansen of Calgary; granddaughters, Amanda and Jenna Wiebe of Winnipeg and great-grandson Jordan Hansen of Calgary. Also survived by sister Ollie (Thor) Viking of Seattle, WA and sisters-in-law, Emily (Mike) Hallson of Winnipeg and Nellie Bergvall of Kenora, ON, and brother-in-law Ed (Colleen) Johnson of Kenora. She was predeceased by her parents Johanna and Gudmunder Stefansson; brothers, Steve, Eggert and Marvin (in infancy) and sister Anna. Helga and Vic loved, laughed and met lifes challenges with courage. Mom enjoyed playing cards, was an avid reader and loved to crochet, knit and sew. She touched the lives of all of us. She will be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends especially Pat and Polly who were so good to Mom. We love you Mom and miss you A memorial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5 at St. Marks Lutheran Church, 600 Cambridge St. at Corydon Avenue with Rev. Rick Sauer officiating.
