Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND PATTIMORE Peacefully on May 28, 2003, Raymond Pattimore aged 86, passed away at the Charleswood Care Centre. Raymond was predeceased by his wife Dorothy, and will be fondly remembered by his children, Susan (Greg), John (Nellie) and Roger; grandchildren, Alison, Keith, Kirsten and Rachel. Ray was born and raised in England, and came to Canada during the Second World War for training with the RAF in Moose Jaw. He met Dorothy when he was invited for Christmas dinner with his familys friends who were also friends of Dorothys family. A spark flickered and their lives together began. They were married in 1946, and set up residence on Albany Street, and began a family. Dad had trained as an electrician and was employed by Cummin-Shipman, and later the RCAF in the same capacity. Ray was an avid bird watcher, and belonged to the Naturalist Society. He spent many hours enjoying the natural surroundings while in the field. His photography skills stood him in good stead while enjoying this hobby. His other interests included bowling, curling, and golfing. Many happy times were spent with his family on camping trips across Canada. Ray loved his family and enjoyed frequent sleepovers with his grandchildren. Dad was the source of many funny stories, which kept his family in stitches. His loving and doting qualities will be sadly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rays memory to the Alzheimer Society, Unit 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. A private family service will be held at a later date.
