DOROTHY SUPPES 1926 - 2003 Peacefully, on May 29, 2003, Dorothy Suppes passed away at Donwood Personal Care Home, where she resided since December 10, 2001. Dorothy received her education at Ralph Brown, Faraday and Isaac Newton Schools and Dominion Business College. She received a pin and a monetary gift for attaining the highest marks in a correspondence course for an Administrative Assistant. She was Executive Secretary to Mr. Rod McIsaac at Midwest Mining and Drilling. Then, for that same gentleman when he was President at Great Northern Capital in Toronto. Dorothy was a conscientious employee, in every aspect of her responsibilities. Dorothy was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Alex Gelhorn in 1964 and her beloved parents, mother Mary in 1969, and father Alexander in 1990. Dorothy is survived by her sister Helen Gelhorn, nephew and godson Alex (Valerie) Gelhorn all of Winnipeg and nephew Bruce Gelhorn in Vancouver; sister Marion (Henry) Gerlach of Regina, SK, nephew and godson James (Jackie) Gerlach of Kingston, ON, nephews, Douglas (Kathy) Gerlach of Winnipeg, Ken (Jean) Gerlach of Dallas OR; Donald (Edith) Gerlach of Regina, SK, great-nephews, Eric and Kevin Gerlach and great-nieces, Cheryl and Tracy Gerlach. Also survived by her school chum since Grade 8 at Faraday School, Helen Rejkowich. The family gives thanks to those who took the time to visit Dorothy during her residency at Donwood Personal Care Home. Last, but certainly not least, all the caregivers at Donwood who took such good and loving care of Dorothy are greatly appreciated. According to Dorothys wishes, she has been cremated with a private family interment at a later date. At Dorothys request, there will be no service. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6, or Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 would be appreciated. God answered your prayers Dorothy. You have achieved success in life and victory in death. Your loving family.
