JAKE TOPNIK On May 29, 2003 at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, Jake Topnik, formerly of Kleefeld, with his loving family at his side, passed away at the age of 81 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 54 years Elsie (nee Remple), his children, Shirley (Russ) Stogryn of Langley, BC, Howard (Shirley Ganske) of Winnipeg, and Bev (Dean) Warkentin of Kleefeld; six grandchildren, Stephen and Karyn Stogryn, Deanne and Cameron Topnik, and April and Chris Warkentin; two brothers, Art (Etta) and Gordon (Ruth) three sisters, Tillie (Jake) Sachvie, Rosie (Henry) Schultz and Olga Biberdorf; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2:30 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Steinbach with interment to follow at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery at Friedensfeld, MB.
