WILLIAM (BILL) WATSON Peacefully, after a brief illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the death of William (Bill) Watson, on Friday, May 30, 2003, in Selkirk, MB, at the age of 73 years. Bill is survived and will be missed deeply by his wife Marlene Watson (nee Harriott), daughter Cindy Supleve (nee Sawatzky) (Rod Barker), son Kelvin and several cherished grandchildren. He was born in Niverville, MB, on August 13, 1929, as one of 15 children to Anna and Abram Sawatzky. As a young adult he moved to Winnipeg to establish a career. Eventually Bill started his own business "Home Orderly Services" taking care of the needs of physically disabled people in their homes. Bill was always concerned about the comfort and well being of others. This unique service, the first of its kind in the Province, gave him great satisfaction. He was a Cub and Scout leader in the City of Winnipeg and in Clandeboye for a number of years and was honoured with a Certificate of Commendation from the Boy Scouts of Canada. Bill enjoyed his family, particularly his grandchildren, he took great pleasure in camping, fishing, cooking and gardening. Bill had a keen sense of humour and enjoyed being with people. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Selkirk General Hospital for all their kindness. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cloverdale United Church, in care of Mr. Rob Cox at 118 Montgomery Ave., Selkirk, MB R1A 3Z4, or a charity of your choice.
