DOUGLAS JOHN BELL Peacefully at the Palliative Care Ward of the St. Boniface Hospital, Douglas Bell, aged 83, passed away on May 30, 2003. He will be sadly missed by his wife Peggy; daughters, Janet Bell, Joyce (Dale) Shurvell, Joanne (John) Chapman and Jane (Bert) Friesen; grandchildren, Richard and Joanna Wiebach, Alison and Amy Shurvell, Jeff Chapman, Kyle, Chris and Katie Friesen; and his loyal companion Auggie. Also surviving are his two brothers, Gordon and Donald Bell. Doug was a longtime employee of United Grain Growers Seed Division. He and his family enjoyed many years at Victoria Beach. He was an avid gardener, sportsmen and dog lover. Dougs family would like to thank the many people involved in his care the past number of years. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6, or the Kidney Foundation, MB Division, 200 - 55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8.
