Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER MASLANKO On Thursday, May 29, 2003, Walter, aged 71 years, passed away at the Selkirk General Hospital. As a youth Walter was very active in sports, especially hockey, baseball and lacrosse. Tragically he lost his legs in a train accident. Walter loved to sing, and he had a lovely voice that everyone enjoyed listening to. He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Maria; sisters, Stella-Anne and Pauline Leonhard; brother Buddy; and sister-in-law Patricia. Walter is survived by his brother Bill (wife Margaret) numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Extended Treatment Unit (E.T.U.), Ward E15, Selkirk Manitoba Health Centre for their exceptional and compassionate care for Walter over the many years of his residency. There will be a memorial service at the Selkirk E.T.U. on Thursday, June 5 at 1:00 p.m., Chaplain Mary Holmen officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in Transcona Cemetery, Rev. Deacon W.
