Also surviving is his sister Kathie Ramsay Gerry was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Kathleen Rigby; and his uncle Tom. Gerry and Marilyn were married May 25, 1961 and after he graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Engineering Physics they moved to Waterloo, ON where he gained his Masters degree in Civil Engineering. They eventually moved to Pinawa where he worked for AECL (Atomic Energy of Canada) for 21 years. Marilyn and Gerry eventually moved to Beausejour and he retired in 1995. Throughout all of his life Gerry was active in sports of all kinds, he may not have played the sport before but that did not stop him from being knowledgeable about it. Golf was his passion, he played golf at many different levels during his life and was never at a loss for a good golf story or how his "hole in one" wasnt an accident. After his retirement he started repairing and selling golf clubs and GLR Golf began and many people in Beausejour and beyond have a "Gerry Rigby" club in their bag. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff of the Health Science Centre and to Dr. Daphne Schmidt for the care and compassion shown to us during this most difficult time. A special thanks to Curt and Elaine Stefaniuk and to Pastor Roland Rendell for all of their support and help.
