WILLIAM (BILL) RICHMOND WEIR Peacefully, at his residence on Monday, June 2, 2003 William Weir, aged 80 years, of Petersfield. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife Toni; his daughters, Dianne (John), Susan and Patti; his stepson Van (Pat) McCormack; grandchildren, Shawn, Shannon, Trina and Kerry; sister Gene; as well as numerous relatives and friends. He was born in Winnipeg on April 22, 1923. Bill served overseas with the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War. He started working at Watkins after the war, retiring with them at the age of 62 years. Bill loved the outdoors, gardening, meeting new people, but most of all time spent with family and friends. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 5 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. A private family interment of ashes will take place in the Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bills memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
