MARY ALICE DERRICK (WALLACE) At the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, June 2, 2003 Mary Alice Wallace Derrick of Paris, ON and formerly of Winnipeg, MB and Bedford, QC, in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Norman Derrick of Paris and the late Dr. Russell E. Wallace; dear mother of William and Deborah Wallace of Winnipeg, Elaine Wallace of Ingonish Beach, NS, Robert Wallace of Winnipeg, Rev. Peter and Lois Derrick of Newmarket, Carolyn and Anthony Board of Keller, TX, Pamela and Tony Stephens of Oakville and Deborah Derrick of Toronto; much loved grandmother of Gordon and Ruth, Marlo, Jonathan, Anna, Jonathan, Janna-Marie, Lauren and Todd, Sophie, Katrina, Jennie, William, Jeremy, Michael, Tom, Tamara and Dave, Charissma; and great-grandmother of Dru and Daniel; beloved sister of Ruth and Don Matthews of Venise-en-Quebec, Dorothy Van Horn of Ottawa; and sister-in-law of Aleda Van Horn of Venise-en-Quebec. Predeceased by brother William Van Horn. Mary was a former member and organist at St. Marks Anglican Church, St. Vital, Winnipeg for many years and was an active member of St. Marks Anglican Church, Brantford. She devoted her life to reaching out to others, her acts of loving kindness brought comfort and healing to all those whose lives she touched. Friends will be received at the Wm. KIPP FUNERAL HOME, 184 Grand River St. N., Paris, on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., then to St. Marks Anglican Church, 155 Memorial Dr., Brantford, where funeral service will be held on her birthday, Friday, June 6 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Canon Jim Sutton officiating. Cremation to follow. A memorial service will be held at a later date (August) in Winnipeg. Details will be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Wm. KIPP, (519) 442-3061
