Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLENA (LEE) GERTRUDE KINCAID On June 2, 2003, Lena (Lee) Kincaid passed away at Concordia Hospital. Born in Moosimin, SK, she moved to Winnipeg at an early age. She lived in Vancouver for a while, then most of her life in Winnipeg. She graduated from Daniel McIntyre School in the late 1930s. During the Second World War, she worked at McDonalds Aircraft in the woodwork overhaul, repairing airplanes used to train airmen. She married her teenage sweetheart, Colin, on his return from Hong Kong where he was held prisoner of war for almost four years. They had one daughter, Colleen. After her marriage, she worked for many years in The Bay China, then later with Eatons in the Menswear Department on the main floor, retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Stephens Anglican Church in East Kildonan. She always like to help the less fortunate people in any way she could. She is survived by her brother-in-law Frank; one niece Margaret Mills; one nephew Albert Mills; and many good friends. She was predeceased by her husband Colin in 1974; her daughter Colleen in 1985; her brother Stuart in 1991; and her sister Gladys in 2000. Cremation will take place and her ashes will rest beside her loving husband and daughter in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Four Prophets section. The family would like to thank the Concordia Hospital staff on 2E, Dr. John Ormesten and Dr. Martins, and Winnipeg Home Care Services. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephens Anglican Church, 220 Helmsdale Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Variety Club of Manitoba or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
