LUCY EDITH LE GRAND (nee WYATT) 1918 - 2003 Lucy passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home with her family at her side. She is survived by her twin sister Lilian Bilsby of England; son Barry (Elizabeth) of Brampton, ON; daughter Lesley of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Christine of Ottawa, ON, Geoffrey (Andrea) of Georgetown, ON, and Timothy of Brampton, ON; great-grandchildren, Spencer, Quentin and Haydn of Georgetown, ON; brother-in-law Gordon (Pat) of Winnipeg, and nieces, nephews, and cousins in England and Canada. Lucy was born in England and came to Canada in May, 1946 as a British War Bride. She eventually settled in North Kildonan. Lucy was employed by River East School Division No. 9 as a Custodial Aide for 23 years, retiring in 1983. Lucy enjoyed walking, reading, knitting (especially for her grandchildren), word puzzles, and gardening. A special thank you to Soli (Home Care) and to the staff of Donwood Manor Personal Care Home for the attention and care they gave to our Mother during her time there and especially throughout the last few days. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 6, in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1X3, Donwood Manor Personal Care Home, 171 Donwood Dr., Winnipeg, MB, R2G 0V9, or a charity of ones choice.
