She survived by her beloved husband, Walter; her children, Carole of Winnipeg, Jason (Delores) of Winnipeg, and Tracey Bremner (Chad) of Grand Cayman; and her grandchildren, Tyler and Rachel. She is also survived by her brothers, Jake (Marion) and Peter (Dorothy) her sisters, Agatha, Helen, Justine, and Margaret (Mike) her sister-in-law, Susan; and many nieces and nephews. Katherine was predeceased by her parents, Abram and Lena Harms; and two brothers, Abe Harms and John Harms. Katherine was born in Winkler and raised in the Plum Coulee area. She was baptized upon confession of her faith at the Morden Bergthaler Church in 1958 and married Walter on June 28, 1959. Katherine and Walter initially resided in Plum Coulee and moved permanently to Winkler in 1965 to raise their three children. Despite her difficult 13 year battle with cancer, Katherine enjoyed her life to the fullest by surrounding herself with family and friends. Katherine never ceased to be a source of inspiration to those people who came in contact with her. Throughout her struggle, Katherine never lost sight of her faith and her love for God and her family. Our sincerest thanks to Dr. C. Woelk and the staff at the Boundary Trails Health Centre for the loving care and support given to our mother. Please join the Siemens family in a celebration of Katherines life. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 5 at 3:00 p.m. at the Grace Mennonite Church in Winkler. Interment will follow at the Winkler Cemetery.
