LOUIS EDWARD DUCHARME It is with great sadness that the family of Louis Edward Ducharme announces his sudden passing on June 2, 2003. Louis will be sadly missed by his mother Pearl Ducharme of St. Ambroise; daughters, JoAnne of Winnipeg, Kristen; his son Kurtis and their mother of St. Laurent; his girlfriend Rosanne of St. Ambroise; his sisters, Stella (Alfred) Lavallee of St. Ambroise, Betty-Ann Lavallee of Winnipeg, Louise (Armand) Ducharme of Winnipeg and Yvette (John) Stimpson of Winnipeg; his brothers, Reggie (Wilna) Ducharme of St. Ambroise and Glen (Lia) Ducharme of Treherne. He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and many, many friends. He is predeceased by his father Louis Lucien Ducharme, his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandparents. Louis was born in Portage la Prairie on June 21, 1956. He was raised and received his education in St. Ambroise, MB. He was a commercial fisherman on Lake Manitoba and was a well-respected hunting guide on the Delta Marsh. He worked at Delta Waterfowl Research Station for several years and most recently worked in construction. He loved to play baseball and hockey and he was very good at both, he also enjoyed trap shooting and won many awards for the sport, he was very well liked by everyone who was lucky enough to know him. Prayers will be held at the St. Ambroise Roman Catholic Church, St. Ambroise, MB on Friday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. Funeral service will be held at the St. Ambroise Roman Catholic Church on Friday, June 6 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the St. Ambroise Parish Cemetery. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Louis name to the Canadian Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 12013 STN BRM B, Toronto, ON M7Y 2L3.
