Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDIONNE HUNTER Sadly we announce the passing of Dionne Hunter, beloved mother and friend, on June 4, 2003, after a lengthy and courageous struggle with cancer. Dionne was born in Winnipeg on August 24, 1958. She was raised in the citys West End and attended Laura Secord School and Gordon Bell High School. Dionne graduated from the Misericordia School of Nursing in 1979. She practiced nursing at several Winnipeg hospitals, including the Princess Elizabeth, Deer Lodge, Misericordia, Victoria and most recently at St. Boniface and the Health Sciences Centre. The family would like to thank Dionnes co-workers, past and present for their wonderful support. Dionne leaves to mourn her children, Lesley, Paul, Jessica and Tristin for whom she lived her life, and numerous friends whom she met on her life journey. She had many special friends and we wish to thank them for the care and concern for Dionne; especially Lynne, Wayne, Alan, Lois, Joanne, Del and all her friends at the parish of St. Chads. The family would also like to thank the nursing staff on 5B at the St. Boniface Hospital for their wonderful support and care for Dionne; also Bunty, the social worker and Bonnie, the Oncology Nurse and Dr. John Forrester. A celebration of Dionnes life will be held Saturday, June 7 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Chads parish. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sr. Chads Anglican Parish, 3390 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
