THERESA (TERRY) IRENE BARSKE (nee COMPEAU) Peacefully in her sleep, on June 6, 2003, Mom left us to join Dad (Bill) who passed away in January, 1998 and dear granddaughter Beth, who passed away June 24, 1999. Beth used to say "Granny go to sleep with the angels". Now Mom will join her two angels, Dad and Beth. Mom was born January 21, 1924, in Starbuck MB and moved to Winnipeg at an early age. Mom and Dad were married in October, 1944. She is survived by four loved children, Lynne, Barry (Jane), Debbie (Howard), Michael (Lina) grandchildren, Lisa (Bill), Brent, Stacie, Gabriel, Rebekah and Katryna; great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Christian, Rachel and Elizabeth; her sister Yvonne (Emile). She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary, Alice, Annette and brothers, Alphonse, Louis and Leo. Family was always very important to Mom. In preparation for this time, Mom had prepared the following: "I would to thank my children and especially my in-laws, Jane who was like a daughter to me, Howard who was like a son, always sending food to "Granny", Lina with her kind heart and so easy to talk with, Lisa and Bill who were always so kind and helpful, taking me to church. Debbie who always came at my call any time; Lynne who was always concerned about my well being; Barry who visited almost every day; and Michael who was missed so much when he went on those long trips for his job at Eatons, and visited every Saturday. How can I forget all the love you children have shown to Dad and I. We will be watching you from above. Take care of one another is one of my greatest wishes." Mom was a long standing member of the Catholic Womens League, St. Alphonsus Parish Council, and a parishioner of St. Alphonsus Church for 47 years. Prayers will be held at St. Alphonsus Church (343 Munroe Ave.) at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 9. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, June 10 at St. Alphonsus Church at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Jorge officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association. Mom, you and Dad were our best friends. Now you have gone to join Dad, and both of our best friends are gone. You will be dearly missed and our lives will never be the same. Goodbye Mom, now you can fly with the doves. Remember, love never dies. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
