She was surrounded by her family when she passed away at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 67. She was predeceased by her father and mother Leon and Rachel; brother Charlie and sister-in-law Shirley. She is survived by her husband Willie; daughters Kathy (Kevin) McMullan, Linda (Ken) Poworski and son Bill (Andrea) DeRuddere. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Melanie, Lauren, Scott, Todd and Teresa McMullan; Matthew, Steven, Lisa, Michelle and David Poworski and Pamela and Allison DeRuddere. She is also survived by her brothers, Emerick, Dick (Betty), George, Gordon as well as her sister-in-law Nellie from Burnaby, BC, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mom loved to spend time with her family and friends and always looked forward to their visits. Her passion was gardening and caring for her many pets, which included dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, pigeons, chickens, roosters, goats and her pair of white geese. She looked forward to spring and the arrival of the Canada Geese and ducks which nested next to their pond. We would like to thank our family, friends and the nurses at Victoria General Hospital for their support over the past month while mom was in hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 10 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Vital Roman Catholic Parish, 1629 Pembina Hwy., with viewing and prayers a half hour prior to service, with Rev.
