VLADIMIR GURICAN On June 5, 2003 Vladimir Gurican passed away peacefully at Beacon Hill Lodge. Vladimir leaves to mourn his daughter Cynthia (Rick) his son Anthony; grandsons, Richard (Tarrah) and Bryan (Melissa) and great-granddaughter Destiny. He is also survived by his sisters, Hedy (Julius), Ethel (William) brothers, Walter (Carol), Ed (Suzanne) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife Mary; son Daniel; parents, Augusta and Vincent. Vladimir was born in Hornany, Czechoslovakia and immigrated with his family as a young man. He grew up in Dufresne, MB and lived in Toronto for several years before moving back to Winnipeg. In 1958, he married Mary Matis, residing in East Kildonan, later moving back to Dufresne, MB. Prayers and viewing to take place on Sunday, June 8 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Home, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Munroe and Brazier, Winnipeg. Interment to follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens located on Hwy. 1 East. Flowers gratefully declined.
