RICHARD DANIEL FOSTY Peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2003, Richard, aged 57 years, passed away at Beausejour District Hospital. His memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife of 35 years, Dianna; son Joshua (Denise) daughter Erin; mother Anne; sisters, Gloria (Rene) Crognali, Mildred (Wilfred) Betker; brothers, Robert (Cindy), Steven (Lynn) Fosty; Diannas family: Ed and Lilly Borkowsky, Denice (Lloyd) Peacock; dearest friend Brian (Carol) Lackman and family, and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his Aunts, Julia, Olga (Walter), Effie, Ann, Mary and Uncle John. He was pre-deceased by his father Dan (Dmitro) in 1997. He will be also missed by his canine companion Spencer. After several years working in Winnipeg, Richard followed his dream by becoming a fulltime farmer. As a family, they worked hard, but enjoyed life to the fullest. Richard was very spontaneous and left many happy memories of his adventures with family and friends (camping trips, long walks, New Years wiener roasts, neighbourhood-get-togethers, car trips all over the prairies, etc.). Richard was very active in the community. He coached hockey, curled, was an advisor on Parent Council, played an active role in his church, served on the local Co-op Board of Directors and was fully committed to any cause he undertook. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, MB. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Koenker officiating. Interment to follow in the Beausejour Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Johns Greenwald Lutheran Church or NEHA Palliative Care, c/o Beausejour District Hospital, Box 1178, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0. The memory of Richards faith, friendship, sense of humour, generous spirit and wisdom for life, will remain forever in the hearts of all who loved him.
