MARJORIE GERTRUDE LINDSAY (nee BARTHOLOMEW) April 21, 1912 - June 5, 2003 It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Marjorie at St. Boniface Hospital at 91 years of age. Marjorie will be sadly missed by her daughter Megan and husband Tom. Born in the east end of London, she moved with her widowed mother, Mary, to Worthing, Sussex, England, where she met and married Thomas Lindsay, April 4, 1944. She came to Canada, one of the many war brides, on the Queen Mary, September 1946, with daughter Megan. Predeceased by her mother Mary and father Thomas. Marjorie lived in Winnipeg all her married life, her heart always still in her beloved England. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Boniface Hospital for their kindness and sensitivity. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 10 at 3:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Rev. Don McIntyre officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice in Marjories name. Sunset and evening star, And one clear call for me! And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea, But such a tide as moving seems asleep, Too full for sound and foam, When that which drew from out the boundless deep Turns again home.
