Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEVE DUTKA August 5, 1920 - June 8, 2003 With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Steve Dutka at Selkirk General Hospital. Steves memory is cherished by Anne, his wife and best friend of 63 years; children, Ray (Ev), Marlene and Barry (Debi) seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and his brother Nick. He was predeceased by his parents, seven brothers and three sisters. Steve is fondly remembered for his generosity and courage, his sense of humour, and his adventurous spirit. He enjoyed his way of life with mom on the farm including each season that brought new challenges and struggles. When he could make time for fun, he loved to visit with family and friends, build his many creative inventions and go ice fishing. Dad was a humble man with many talents and strengths. Prayer services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11 at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12 at the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 271 Sophia St., Selkirk with Fr. Peter Chorney officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Clements Cemetery. The family is very grateful to Dr. G. Fuchs and all hospital staff who provided compassionate care for dad during the past two years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steves memory to the Selkirk Palliative Care Unit, Box 5000, Selkirk, MB R1A 2M2. ....You are in our hearts forever....
