BRENT ELLIOTT LUPYRYPA It is with deepest sadness we announce that Brent left our world for another on June 7, 2003. Brent was born on October 30, 1984 in Selkirk, MB. From the day he was born, Brent was a lovable, happy-go-lucky kid. He attended grade school at Winnipeg Beach, later to Gimli high school and then chose to take the welding course offered at Lord Selkirk Comprehensive where he obtained his Welding Board Certificates in May 2002. The family was very proud of his accomplishment. Brent was always the thinker creator of sorts. From a very young age, he was building and creating, starting with blocks, then his LEGO, then making his inventions move with motors from his remote control toys. As Brent got older, his interest in mechanics and how things worked always kept him busy. He had a keen interest in mini-bikes, snowmobiles and always had something to drive around on. He built his own go cart for himself and whoever wanted to go for a ride with him around the yard or out to the trails. Then when he got his drivers licence, well then it was his dads motorcycle. Brent enjoyed the family camping trips on weekends, if he wasnt in the lake swimming, he was on the sand building something with rocks and whatever else he could find. After Brent finished school, he worked with his dad in the welding shop or was building something for himself or his friends. In May 2002 Brent went to work with his Uncle Bert at Chabot Sand & Gravel. Brent, who was always quick with anything that had gears or a motor was soon operating the gravel crusher unit. Brent was always surrounded by his friends. If he wasnt at their house, they were at his. Brent enjoyed being around animals, the family dog Missy and the newest addition, a Canada Goose gosling that wandered into our yard. While Brent was with us, he truly lived life to the fullest. He had a zest for having a good time and was always willing to do something new or something crazy. He had a sense of humour that would put a smile on your face or make you chuckle. He was always there to do anything for anyone who asked and did it all with a smile. He will be truly missed by everyone. Brent leaves to mourn and always remember him, his parents, Glenn and Annelise Lupyrypa; his brothers, Kevin and Justin; his grandmother Matilda Lupyrypa; his grandparents, Vicky and Sylvio Larabie, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church, No. 9 Hwy., Winnipeg Beach with Rev. Lynn Stevens officiating. We would like to thank our family and friends who have been there since Brent left us. You have no idea what your company and comfort meant to us. Thank you. To East Interlake and Selkirk RCMP thank you for your professionalism and compassion at such a sad time for us. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg R2L 1X3, or a charity of your choices. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
