RUBY KOVACS (nee KIRALY) 1935 - 2003 Ruby Joanne Kovacs passed away suddenly, secure in the love of her husband and children, on Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at the age of 68. Ruby was the beloved wife of 43 years to John, of Winnipeg; loving mother and grandmother to Susan (Kelly) Braun, and children Megan (nine) and Eric (eight) of Winnipeg; Gary (Shawna) Kovacs and daughter Erin (four months) of Oakland, CA; Charlene Kovacs and children, Alexandra McCawley (nine) and Quinn McCawley (seven) of Vancouver. The first of two children, Ruby was predeceased by her parents Michael and Ruby Kiraly and is survived by her brother Frank (Lorraine) Kiraly and their children, of Winnipeg. Ruby will be remembered for the lives she touched, for the laughter and sense of humour she shared with everyone, for her passion for piano, curling, bridge, and her Hungarian ancestry. She was the guiding light and driving spirit to her children and husband. You are in our hearts forever! A celebration of Rubys life will be held on Saturday, June 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Chapels at 669 Broadway to which all Rubys friends are invited.
