TED BUREK It is with deepest sorrow that we the family announce the passing of Ted Burek of Hazelridge on June 9, 2003, beloved husband of Anne. Ted was born on December 12, 1921 at Tyndall, MB and raised in Cooks Creek and Hazelridge. He was the Grain Elevator Manager for Manitoba Pool Elevators from 1947, retiring in 1988. He married Anne Nazarko on October 14, 1950. He was active in the community, helping build the Hazelridge Community Hall and the Community Sports Centre. He enjoyed fishing and spent many happy hours at the cottage at Eleanor Lake. He will be sadly missed by his wife Anne; brothers, Mike (Nell), John (Betty) and Joe (Irene) sisters-in-law, Anne, Mary, Mildred and Jean Burek; brother-in-law John Taylor and many nieces, nephews and friends. Ted was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Petronella; brothers, Bernard, Alex, Casmer, Willie, Ed and sister Mary. Many thanks to Dr. Campbell and the doctors, nurses and staff of Beausejour Hospital, as well as Heidi Scott and the Home Care staff of the Northeastern Health Association for their compassionate care. Prayers will be held on Friday, June 13 at 7:00 p.m. at Russell Funeral Home, Park Avenue, Beausejour. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14 at St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church in Cooks Creek, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of ones choice. RUSSELL FUNERAL HOME 1-204-268-2263
