Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN ELIZABETH HAFICHUK (nee WAROWAY) Peacefully on June 10, 2003, Helen Elizabeth Hafichuk (nee Waroway) entered into her new life. She was predeceased by her husband Donald and her son-in-law Michael Supleve. Born in Dauphin on July 25, 1918, Helen was the daughter of Stephen Waroway and Anna Hrehirchuk. The youngest of 10 children, Helen was quick to develop a feisty spirit and mischievous sense of humour. After completing her education, which included Business College, Helen worked as a legal secretary, court reporter and later as an executive secretary for the T. Eaton Co. Helen married Don in 1950 and moved to Winnipeg in 1954, where together they owned and operated grocery and wholesale businesses. Helens passion for music included playing piano, organ, and violin and singing, as well as directing numerous choirs throughout her life. Her dedicated service to her church and her involvement at the executive level on various committees, both in the parish and the Ukrainian Catholic Archdiocese, earned Helen much admiration and respect. Helens kind nature and joyful spirit will be missed by her children, Mary Ann, Gregory (Dallis), Michael (Jan) and grandchildren, Sean, Andrea, Larissa, Katherine, Jamie, Kayla, Jordan, Kevan and Braedan, as well as her sister Mrs. Ann Love and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Prayers will be held Sunday, June 15 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Michaels Ukrainian Catholic Church, 400 Day St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Monday, June 16 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Family Cemetery. The family would like to thank all those at Park Manor Personal Care Home for the kindness, support and excellent care shown to Helen over the last year.
