Born: Apr 19, 1923
Date of Passing: Jun 09, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY MOORE (nee LASAKOWSKI) April 19, 1923 - June 9, 2003 Peacefully, in the early hours of June 9, 2003, Mom was called into Gods arms. Beloved mother, sister and aunt, she is survived by her only child Michelle (Kara-Lynn). She is also survived by her younger sister Stephi; older brother John; and sister-in-law Mary, as well as many nieces and nephews. Auntie Minnie will be sadly missed by nieces, Darlene and June; and nephews, Danny (Margaret) and Gary (Dana). She was predeceased by her father and mother, Michael and Elizabeth Lasakowski; sisters, Janet, Lena, Jean, and brother Fred. Mom had a smile that lit up any room she entered and she easily made friends anywhere she went. Her home for the last few years was Heritage Lodge, coupled with her easy going style made her well liked among the residents and staff. She never let herself get down for very long and when she was met by a challenge her ability to adapt kicked right in. Forever young at heart, Mom loved to travel and entertain and she will always be remembered for her kind spirit and gentle way. Many thanks to the nurses and staff at Heritage Lodge for the care given to mom during her stay there. Special thank you to the nurses and staff on 3 West at the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion in this last week. At Marys request, cremation and a private family service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined, however, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or a charity of choice. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away, You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay, You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend, But still you kept on fighting, Until the very end. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And whispered, "Come with Me" So when we saw you sleeping, So peaceful, free from pain, We could not wish you back To suffer that again. Rest In Peace "Always remembered and always loved" Mom NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
