JOHN McDERMID With deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of John McDermid at the Seven Oaks Hospital on Thursday, June 12, 2003. John was predeceased by his beloved wife Rose and his sisters, Margaret Helseth and Mary McDermid. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Don and Carol, Jeanette, Carol and Peter Hartwell, Jim, Pat and Nora; grandchildren, Morgan and Adam, Steven, Mathew, Sheila and Chris Dick, Michael and Laura, Daniel and Heather, Lisa (Bert Martin) brothers, Hughe and Frances, Ramsey and Betty and numerous nieces and nephews. John was a carman for the CNR for 35 years retiring in 1985. He was dedicated to his family. He enjoyed traveling in his mobile home. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 17 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (South of the Royal Canadian Mint). Viewing will be a half hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will take place in the reception centre. Special thanks are extended to the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital 3rd Floor Units No. 4 and No. 5, as well as the Dialysis staff.
