ALICE SEATON JOHNSON On June 11, 2003, after a lengthy illness, our sister Alice Seaton Johnson, passed away peacefully at Deer Lodge Centre and has joined her mother, father and brother at rest. Alice was born at Spearhill, MB on January 11, 1923. She was predeceased by her father Sidney Thomas in 1938; by her mother Hilda Valborg Katerine in 1991, and by her brother Albert Edwin in 1977. She will be sadly missed and remembered by her brother William Arthur (Barbara) of Victoria, BC, brother Ronald Peter (Mary) uncle Johnny (Caroline) of Port Clements, BC; sister-in-law Lucy, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Alice always enjoyed music and as a young girl it gave her great pleasure to listen whenever her father played his records. Classical music and music from the 1920s was always her favourite. She also spent many hours drawing, painting, doing embroidery work and petit point. In her later years, she was disappointed in not being able to carry on these activities. Alice always loved animals and as a child, she would bring home stray cats and dogs that were looking for someone to take care of them. They all found a loving home. Alice worked as a stenographer for the Canadian Wheat Board for 33 years and retired from there in the summer of 1977. The family would like to thank the staff at Deer Lodge Centre and especially the staff on E4 for their kindness and care for Alice during her stay at the centre. Respecting Alices wish, cremation and interment have taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alices memory may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
