Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEVERLEY BARKMAN-KEHLER Beverley Grace, beloved wife of Gary, passed away suddenly on June 10, 2003 at the St. Pierre Hospital. Beverley was born January 27, 1959 in Steinbach, MB, to Leonard A. and Agnes Barkman. Beverley was raised and received her schooling in Steinbach. After graduation, she entered Education at the University of Manitoba, but soon decided to rather pursue her dream of travelling and took travel agent courses. She realized her dream and travelled to places around the world. One of her most meaningful trips was to Russia in 1995, when she visited her mothers birthplace. Beve worked as a travel agent at Holiday Travel in Steinbach for 15 years, establishing many lasting friendships locally and around the world. Beverleys deepest dream was realized in October of 1995, when she married Gary Kehler of Niverville, MB. They settled on a farm outside of Niverville and these were wonderful, fulfilling years. Beve loved being a farm girl building fences, driving tractors, raising alpacas, caring for chicken barns, and so on. In December 2002, Beverley was diagnosed with hemochromatosis, a blood disorder, which led to complications and the sudden hemorrhage, which took her life on June 10. Beverley is survived by her husband Gary; his two children, Gary Nicholas and Alexandra; one brother Wayne (Rose) two sisters, Elaine (John), Audrey and their families. She also leaves to mourn parents-in-law Peter and Betty Kehler; brothers-in-law, Jack (Sal), Daryl (Irene), and Brian (Myrah) and their families. She was predeceased by her father L.A. Barkman, January 5, 1979 and her mother Agnes Barkman, May 8, 2002. Viewing will be held Sunday, June 15, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel, Steinbach. Funeral services for Beverley Kehler will be held Monday, June 16, 2:00 p.m. at the Mennonite Brethren Church, 340 Second St. in Steinbach, with Pastor Abe Klassen officiating, followed by interment at Heritage Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to: Loewen Funeral Chapel, Steinbach

I think of you often and reflect on our great friendship during our younger years in Steinbach. What fun we had together. After many invites to visit your farm in Niverville with my children, and meet your husband Gary, which never did happen, fills me with tears of sadness. It's been many many years and you are in my heart and prayers always. - Posted by: Sandra Lindsay (Barkman) (Childhood Friend) on: Apr 25, 2017
