MARIA EINIS Sadly "Mousyia" Maria Einis passed away suddenly on Monday, June 9, 2003 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was 79 years old. She was predeceased by her husband Alexander Einis (1995). She is missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. She is survived by children Irina (David Pogrebicky) and Sasha, her grandchildren, Natasha (Sam Kravtsov), Stanley of Winnipeg, and Regina (Segal), great-granddaughter Alexis of Australia. Maria was a beautiful woman who will be remembered for her generous nature, strength, courage, and not least of all, her fine baking talents. She survived the Second World War, the Nazis, Stalinism, and Communism. She travelled from Kiev, Ukraine, to Israel, to Toronto and settled in Winnipeg to be with her family. The funeral was held at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery on June 11. The family would like to thank the staff at the Sharon Home, Seven Oaks Hospital, Shaarey Zedek Synagogue and Chesed Shel Emes Chapel for their care and attention, Rabbi Altein for performing a beautiful service, the pallbearers, and all who attended.
