ARCHIE WALKER JACKSON Passed away peacefully Friday, June 13, 2003 with his family by his side at the Grace Hospital at the age of 85 years; the dearly loved husband of Margaret. Archie was born on August 16, 1917 in Winnipeg. Archie served overseas 1940 to 1944 with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles Little Black Devils. He worked at Eatons Mail Order from 1948 to 1973 and married Margaret in 1948. Archie was predeceased by brothers, James, Thomas, Andrew and Roblin; sisters, Louise McKinny, Hannah Whiley, Margaret Golding and Myrtle Fowler. Archie is survived by his wife Margaret of 54 years; sons, Ron and Ralph (Marlene) daughter Valerie (Calvin) Westwood; grandchildren, Laura (Blair), Andrew Westwood, Johnathon, Tyler and Kaitlin Jackson; sister Cora Rogers; numerous nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James United Church, 234 Parkview St. Viewing will be held prior to the service also at the Church. Reception will follow in the church hall. Interment to take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. Rev. Don McIntyre officiating. Many thanks to the Grace Hospital staff and nurses of 3rd West/East for their care and support. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Archies memory.
